Steve Carson - March 27, 2009

The ALBC and greater Lincoln community lost another dear friend this week.

Mr. Carson was responsible for leadership and preservation of the Lincoln Group of DC, a long-time member of the Abraham Lincoln Institute Board of Directors and a member The Lincoln Forum's Board of Advisors.

John Hope Franklin, 1915-2009

The ALBC lost a dear friend, major supporter and champion of human rights.

ALBC executive director, Eileen Mackevich, first met Franklin in the late 1960s while doing graduate study in Illinois. "He taught me about race, about life, about communicating with people in respect to their differences."

May we forever remember his inspiration.
